Smokey Robinson and Love

tracks of my tears cover

In the third instalment in his series of posts on music for the Theory, Culture & Society site, Les Back has written a piece on Smokey Robinson and Love (its open access). It’s an amazing piece that looks at sociological questions of love through Smokey’s music and lyrics. This follows on from Les’ previous pieces on Junior Murvin and Otis Redding.
