Deborah Lupton on academic blogging

On her blog Deborah Lupton has posted a detailed overview if the research on academic blogging. The post is based upon the research she is doing for her forthcoming book on digital sociology. In this post Deborah surveys the various benefits and hazards of using blogging as part of the research process. It is worth looking through Deborah’s This Sociological Life blog to see the form that her previous posts have taken. She tends towards quite substantial posts added in a regular pattern. There are some really interesting posts there, especially focusing on health and digital sociology. Her list of last year’s publications is also eye catching.
