Audio podcasts of talks on the topic of digital sociology

Mark Carrigan’s blog is proving to be an excellent resource for materials to use on my postgraduate module on ‘digital by-product data and the social sciences’. He has recently posted a series if audio podcasts of talks on digital sociology. I think they are taken from the recent digital sociology study group event in London. There are some really great talks here from leading figures. The provide sone really thoughtful reflections on the development if digital sociology and the use of digital or big data in social research.

Les Back on digital sociology

Evelyn Ruppert on digital sociology

Noortje Marres on digital sociology

Helene Snee on digital sociology

There are also a series of reflections on blogging taken from the same event:

CelebYouth on blogging

Mark Murphy on blogging

Ben Baumberg on blogging
