Forthcoming presentation on ‘Popular culture, digital archives and the new social life of data’

Later in November I’m going to be giving a talk to the Centre for Modern Studies postgraduate forum here at York. Here’s the information about the talk. My original plan was to present a piece that I’ve got coming out soon in Theory, Culture & Society. But I put the slides together yesterday and decided to mix things up a bit. So I’m going to start with some of the points from that article but the main focus will be a chapter on archiving that I’ve written for the book. I thought it might be a good opportunity to test the ideas out and see what questions come up, particularly as I continue with editing the first draft of the book.
