Exploring the emergence of underground musical worlds, a talk by Nick Crossley

Nick Crossley at Manchester has done some really revealing work into music scenes over recent years. He has used social network analysis to look at how scenes form and operate. Although he thinks of these as ‘worlds’ rather than scenes. His previous publications have analysed the London Punk scene and the Manchester Post-punk scene. In this podcast he provides an overview of the general project he is working on. The talk uses the examples of punk and post-punk but it deals with the way these types of sub cultural worlds operate. The talk is titled ‘Exploring the emergence of underground musical worlds‘.
