I’m currently working on a project about recording engineers with Jez Wells (who is a recording engineer and academic based at the University of York), its funded by the Royal Academy of Engineering. Jez has set up a blog tracking the progress of the project, which is funded as a public engagement fellowship. Here is the ‘Is recording engineering?’ blog. And here is an entry with some of the early data, in the form of some short biographies that some recording engineers have submitted in response to a magazine article. We are going to be writing up the findings over the next couple of months (with some publications hopefully following).
