Individualism, togetherness and music

Pop Erratic has a post reflecting on issues of isolation and togetherness in music. It links into some of the debates about individualism and cultural solidarity. The post uses music to consider the wider tensions of being alone together (see for example Barry Wellman’s concept of networked individualism or Michael Bull’s book Sound Moves).
